WASHINGTON, D.C. – U.S. Senator Bob Menendez today released the following statement on the passing of Monroe Township Mayor Gerald Tamburro:

“I was saddened to hear of the passing of Mayor Gerald Tamburro, who was an exceptional public servant and friend to so many across the state. He was fiercely dedicated to the families of Monroe and worked every single day to ensure they had the resources to thrive. He will be greatly missed by the entire community but will be remembered for his unwavering commitment to the people he loved to serve.

“My prayers are with his family and friends and hope they will find comfort in the fact that Jerry is now reunited with his beloved late wife Carole.”
