WASHINGTON, DC - U.S. Senator Bob Menendez (D-NJ) today met with and congratulated Terrill Middle School's principal Dr. Kevin Holloway on winning the New Jersey Principals and Supervisors Association's (NJPSA) Principal of the Year award. Dr. Holloway has instituted a service-oriented program for at-risk students, implemented a volunteer monitoring program for in-need students and added class periods every day for enhanced learning opportunities.

"Dr. Holloway's innovative work both inside and outside the classroom sets an example for educators across our state and country," said Senator Menendez. "I congratulate Dr. Holloway on this prestigious honor and commend his efforts to improve our schools by increasing literacy rates, ensuring student safety and enhancing early childhood education programs."

Senator Menendez has made improving educational opportunities for New Jersey's students a top priority throughout his career in public service. Most recently he supported the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act, the creation of 21st century community learning centers, teacher quality partnership grants and Federal TRIO Programs.
