The Third Annual Women of Distinction Awards (Jersey City, NJ)

Senator Robert Menendez held the Third Annual Women of Distinction Awards to celebrate Women's History Month, honor New Jersey's pioneering women, and honor his mother. The Evangelina Menendez Trailblazer Award, named after the Senator's late mother, was awarded to six women who have blazed trails in their own fields. The honorees were Colonel Terese Bernadette Acocella, Jeanne M. DelColle, Linda Walder Fiddle, Esq., Katherine Grant-Davis, Esperanza Porras-Field, and Phyllis Salowe-Kaye. The keynote address was given by the administrator of the Enviornmental Protection Agency, Lisa P. Jackson, and the mistress of ceremonies was April Woodward.
