Senator Menendez joined local officials to cut the ribbon on the 2012 Cumberland County Fair, a fair that has attracted thousands over the years for its games, fireworks, and 4-H exhibits. The Cumberland County Fair, known as New Jersey’s oldest fair, was first held in 1695. The fair features farm and garden exhibits, free hayrides, home and art exhibits, a pie eating contest, a watermelon eating contest, amusement rides, a comedy show, a golf cart contest, horse and livestock shows and exhibits, pig races, and 2 nights of demolition derby.
