Rider University will receive a $292,340 U.S. Department of Education TRIO Super Student Services (SSS) grant to provide essential services for students from disadvantaged backgrounds, U.S. Senators Bob Menendez and Cory Booker said on Wednesday.

It’s part of a total of $3,606,996 in grants being set aside for colleges and universities in New Jersey for that cause.

“These programs give disadvantaged students access to critical services they need to succeed in school and in life,” Menendez said. “Investing in our youth through education is money well-spent and will lead to long-term economic growth and stability for the nation.”
