U.S. Senators Bob Menendez and Cory Booker (both D-NJ) today announced $10,846,971 in Federal funding for the Burlington County Community Action Program, the Centers for Family Services, the Union Township Communication Action Organization and the Quality Care Resource and Referral Services to support their Head Start and Early Head Start programs. The awards were granted by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.
“Early education programs like Head Start are the best way we can make sure children from low income families enter school ready to learn and succeed,” said Sen. Menendez. “This federal funding will provide critical support for Head Start programs and facilities in New Jersey that offer disadvantaged youth with high-quality early childhood programs. I will continue fighting to ensure our children receive the necessary early learning services they need to reach their full potential.”
