WASHINGTON, D.C. – U.S. Senator Bob Menendez, this week, marked Alzheimer’s Awareness Month with a visit to Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School in Piscataway, N.J., where a team of scientists is advancing research into a first-of-its-kind drug treatment for the devastating neurological disorder. The senator, whose mother battled Alzheimer’s for 18 years until her death, renewed his commitment to fight for greater federal funding to help find effective treatments and a cure.
