Sen. Menendez Questions Trump Administration’s Fickle China Policy at Senate Hearing

WASHINGTON, DC – At a nominations hearing today, U.S. Senator Bob Menendez (D-N.J.), a senior member of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, questioned the rationale behind the Trump Administration’s policy to pressure China to act on North Korea.  Questioning Christopher Ashley Ford, President Trump’s nominee to be Assistant Secretary of State for International Security and Nonproliferation, Menendez listed various actions the Administration could take, but said he “hasn’t heard a whimper,” from the Administration on any of it.
