Menendez Visits Northern New Jersey Ironworkers Training Center

Springfield, NJ - US Senator Robert Menendez (D-NJ) today visited the District Council of Northern New Jersey Ironworkers Training Center to focus on training skilled craftsmen to build efficient and energy-saving biopharmaceutical facilities. Menendez was joined by NJ Senate President Steve Sweeney, and members of the District Council of Northern New Jersey Ironworkers, Pharmaceutical Industry Labor-Management Association, HealthCare Institute of New Jersey, and We Work for Health New Jersey.

"Organizations like the District Council of Northern New Jersey are crucial for our workers and our local economy," said Menendez. "We need to focus on training workers for skilled jobs like building efficient and energy-saving biopharmaceutical facilities in our state, so that we can put more people to work and build thriving clean energy and biotechnology sectors."
