Menendez Meets with WWII Veteran from Monroe Township

WASHINGTON, DC - U.S. Senator Robert Menendez (D-NJ) met with World War II veteran and Monroe Township, NJ resident Julian Moses yesterday.

"It was my pleasure to meet Mr. Moses, who fought with valor as a submarine sailor in the Pacific as a young man," said Senator Menendez. "Mr. Moses - a member of America's Greatest Generation - is a spry, energetic man, proven by the fact that at age 89 he still goes into Manhattan every week for work.

"On behalf of the people of New Jersey, I offer Mr. Moses the thanks of a grateful nation."

Mr. Moses joined the Navy in 1943 and rose to the rank of Electrician's Mate, 2nd Class. After WWII, he went to college, married, had two sons, and became an accountant.
