Newark - U.S. Senator Robert Menendez today applauded the success of several New Jersey universities and groups in being recognized by the National Endowment for the Humanities (NEH) and receiving funding for their projects. NEH requires an extensive application process and selects only the top programs in humanities research and education. The four New Jersey recipients honored with this grant are the Community College Humanities Association, Drew University, Ramapo College of New Jersey, and Rutgers University New Brunswick.

"Congratulations to these universities and specifically these influential educators," said Senator Robert Menendez. "To stand out in such a competitive group shows both your mastery of the subject area and your high standards for students. Your students are lucky to have such impressive role models guiding them and shaping their understanding of the social sciences. Congratulations again on the award; I hope it leads to new and exciting discoveries."
