WASHINGTON, DC – US Senators Bob Menendez and Cory Booker (D-NJ) today announced the South Jersey Transportation Authority has been awarded $3,223,440 to complete a taxiway rehabilitation project at Atlantic City International Airport. The funding comes from the Department of Transportation’s Federal Aviation Administration (FAA).

“Modernizing our state’s aging infrastructure is a win-win investment for our safety and economy,” said Sen. Menendez. “Today’s announcement will accomplish just that by ensuring Atlantic City International is able to finalize important improvements that keep the local economy competitive and provide travelers with the quality service they deserve."

“The Atlantic City International Airport is key to the growth, expansion, and viability of the region and this funding will enable the airport to make updates that keep passengers safe and the regional economy moving,” said Sen. Booker. “We will continue to fight for federal investments that strengthen New Jersey’s infrastructure and make residents and visitors safer.”
