NEWARK, NJ – U.S. Senators Bob Menendez and Cory Booker today announced a $4.749 million grant award from the U.S. Department of Transportation to the Delaware River and Bay Authority (DRBA) to undertake runway improvements at Cape May airport.

“Keeping Cape May Airport well-maintained and running efficiently is a key part of New Jersey’s tourism economy,” said Sen. Menendez. “I’m pleased this federal funding will help the DRBA make important improvements the airport needs.”

“This grant funding is vital to ensure the safety of local residents and visitors who rely on the Cape May County Airport,” said Sen. Booker. “I am thankful to the Department of Transportation for allocating this grant award and will remain committed to working with this agency to continue making critical investments in our state’s infrastructure.”
