Senator Menendez participates in the groundbreaking of a new solar power installation at the New Jersey headquarters of Dow Jones & Co. This installation will be one of the nation’s largest solar power generating facilities on a corporate site.
Senator Menendez holds a press conference on the Jersey City waterfront to discuss efforts he is leading in the Senate to ensure that the federal government coordinates with East Coast states to prepare for the possibility of the BP oil spill entering the Atlantic Ocean. Menendez was joined by shore business owners, scientists and other New Jerseayans who are also closely monitoring the oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico.

Senator Menendez congratulates Judge Joseph Greenaway on his ascension to the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit. The New Jersey U.S. Senate Delegation nominated Judge Greenaway in 2009, and Menendez had taken to the Senate floor on numerous occasions to speak in favor of Greenaway. Greenaway has been a District Judge on the United States District Court for the District of New Jersey since 1996.
Senator Menendez joined thousands of AARP members from across New Jersey for a tele-town hall called "Health Care Reform: What it Means to You." Senator Menendez and AARP representatives discussed with New Jersey seniors how they will benefit from the new law, including the strengthening of Medicare and closing the Medicare Part D coverage gap, or "donut hole.”
