Schummer (D-NY), Frank Lautenberg (D-NJ), other lawmakers, and 9/11 first responders urge all Senators to remember how America fulfilled its moral obligation to those who sacrificed after Pearl Harbor and honor this important date by paying 9/11 heroes with the respect by passing the James Zadroga 9/11 Health and Compensation Act.

The Senators pressed the GOP to stop holding tax cuts for the middle class hostage in order to give tax breaks to millionares and billionares.
With airfares as much as 60 percent higher during the Thanksgiving season, Senator Menendez holds a press conference at Newark Liberty International Airport to push for final passage of his "Clear Airfares Act". The "Clear Airfares" bill would give consumers a full breakdown of airline fees it may have to pay before purchasing a ticket and is now just one step in Congress from becoming law. Senator Menendez highlited the importance of it gaining final passage before Congress adjourns next month in December 2010.

Senator Robert Menendez is joined by local small business owners as he hosts a press conference to highlight local small business successes as a result of new federal programs to boost small business lending. The small business owners were successful in obtaining loans through the U.S. Small Business Administration's Recovery Act provisions, and the recent Small Business Jobs Act of 2010, which extended access to capital, increased tax incentives for investment, and supported more innovation and entrepreneurship. Senator Menendez is joined by U.S. SBA Region 2 Administrator Jorge Silva-Puras and Joe Molineaux of Stockton College's Small Business Development Center.
Sen. Menendez attends and offers remarks at the groundbreaking ceremony for the “John S. and James L. Knight Early Learning Research Academy” in Camden, NJ. Rutgers University, the LEAP Academy and the Knight Foundation along with statewide and local elected officials commemorated the official groundbreaking of the new facility that will offer early childhood education and health services to children from birth to age five, starting August 2011.
