Tuckerton Volunteer Fire Co. has received a $19,753 federal Assistance to Firefighters Grant to enhance response capabilities, as well as to more effectively protect the health and safety of the public and emergency response personnel.

“This federal funding is a great investment that will ensure New Jersey’s local Fire Departments have the tools, equipment, and resources necessary to operate more efficiently and safely while protecting communities across our state,” said U.S. Sen. Bob Menendez (D-N.J.) in a press release. “Our brave first responders never hesitate to put their lives on the line each day and we must continue fighting to make certain they always have what they need to do their job safely and successfully.”
