Three New Jersey locations will receive $8.1 million in federal grants for cleanup, restoration and repair of property damaged by Superstorm Sandy.

Jersey City is scheduled to get $2,391,083 to restore public documents that were damaged as a result of the October 2012 storm. The Romer Shoal Lighthouse, located in the New York Lower Bay near Highlands, is set to receive $3,750,415 for repairs. And Monmouth County Public Works will get $2,006,208 to replace the Bray Avenue Bridge in Middletown.

The grants, provided through the Federal Emergency Management Agency’s public assistance program, were announced by Democratic Sens. Bob Menendez and Cory Booker.
