A new bill that would lengthen the process Syrian and Iraqi refugees face when coming into the country was voted through the House overwhelmingly...

...Senator Bob Menendez says he’ll vote against it when it hits the Senate floor.

Menendez says the bill would create impossible refugee vetting standards and it’s far less of a risk to national security than the Visa Waiver Program.

“Which allows 38 countries in the world, including for example France, England, Germany, and others, to come to the United States, without a visa.  And I think there needs to be some tightening up of the Visa Waiver Program based upon what we’re facing in the world today.”
