Help is on the way for the owners of more than 200 flood-prone homes in two Central Jersey towns.

A $7,562,563 federal grant will fund the purchase and then the demolition of 97 homes in Woodbridge and 108 properties in Manville.

The grant, to be distributed through the Federal Emergency Management Agency, will be split nearly equally -- Woodbridge is to receive $3,862,563 while Manville gets $3.7 million, U.S. Sens. Robert Menendez and Cory Booker announced Monday.
