Manville and Woodbridge will be sharing $7.5 million to fund the acquisition and demolition of flood-prone homes.

The grant, announced Monday by U.S. Sens. Robert Menendez and Cory Booker, both D-N.J., will give $3.7 million to Manville and $3,862,563 to Woodbridge.

The Manville grant will fund the acquisition and demolition of 108 properties. Most of the homes are in the Lost Valley section of the borough.

The Woodbridge grant provides funds for the acquisition and demolition of an additional 98 flood-prone properties for a total of 187 properties.
